Red Line

Kyryl Yelchyts’ Red Lines collection serves as a poignant exploration of the unacceptable boundaries and immoral decisions that define the chaos of war – namely, the “red lines”. This project symbolizes the concept of red lines as a metaphor for prohibited actions, emphasizing the ethical dilemmas that arise in times of conflict.

In this collection, shattered shells from the Russian Grad and Tornado rockets are intricately pierced by vibrant red lines made of PVC, which stand for the unacceptable actions and criminal acts that occur during warfare. These striking lines wrap around and penetrate the broken munitions, illuminated to create art objects imbued with deep emotional resonance.

Through Red Lines, Kyryl aims to evoke a visceral response and provoke thoughtful reflection among viewers. The artwork challenges us to confront the heavy price of war and underscores the importance of preserving peace. Each piece serves as a reminder of the moral boundaries that must not be crossed, inviting dialogue on the consequences of violent conflict and the vital need for compassion and understanding in a fractured world.

Glory to Ukraine!
